    Default Slow Saturday Evening

The wife, the dog, and myself went out last evening because she hadn't been out for a couple weeks. Very nice evening with just a slight breeze and a little cloud cover. A front had come through in the afternoon and the humidity had backed of behind it making for a very comfortable evening.

Started fishing around 5:30 and picked up a couple fish here and there until dark. The bite was a little better earlier but the fish were not all that big. We threw back half a dozen real small ones and kept a few that were between 10 and 12 inches. The two largest were caught last before we called it quits. I thought the bigger ones were finally showing up to play but, that was about it. Nothing else. Marked quite a few fish. 15 feet of water is where they were all hanging out.

We haven't fished this pond much in the past but have been a couple times this year and it has been good to keep learning it. All in all we had a great time and brought home some fish to cook.Name: 20180818_194130.jpg

14 fillets make a great dinner with left overs for a fish sandwich. Good catch.

The dog really enjoys going. I had to teach him not to go after my jig though, hate for him to learn the hard way.
