Default Crankfest 2018 highlights for me

I had looked forward to returning to Enid Lake since we were there for Crankfest 2017. We just came for the dinner last year. We didn’t fish.

As soon as we rolled into the state park folks got us by the arm and said “Come on, we’re going fishing”. Rickie and Jere fished with Rees on different days, Jere fished with Don, and I headed toGrenada to fish with T-man. As much fun as all that was, my highlight was being able to share my Excel with BillBob on Enid.

I got to cut a hook out of T-man’s thumb Friday and he’s tough as a pine knot. He got a lesson on fishing Grenada ,Kentucky Lake style. Seems to have worked.

Slab and BillBob hijacked the Excel Friday for a few hours on Enid while I was in Tom’s Sheeter Bay on Grenada.

I just hope us Ky Rednecks can show as much hospitality in October at ShinDig as we were shown at Enid.

I’ll have some seats available in my boat once I get Tom and his wonderful wife on the lake.

Hope to see you all at the KY Lake ShinDig onOctober 11-13. Name: IMG_2024.jpg

BTW, 2 things I have to mention:

Adam (Dutch 552) was all ready to join us but broke his foot a few days before the trip and had to miss it. We missed you Bro!

You might notice some Pico crank colors you don't recognize in the photos. We experimented with some of my new patterns in MS. They catch MS crappie like they do KY crappie. Can you say John Deere Green?

Loved the pictures Doug thanks for sharing. Hate I had to miss it but maybe next year. Hoping to make the Kentucky shindig but it depends when I get my other knee replaced

To say that I am bummed to miss this would be the understatement of the year. I dropped a couple hundred pound wood dresser on my foot while moving furniture the Friday before and had strict orders for no weight bearing to prevent the need for surgery.

I hope to see some of you MS guys here in just a couple of short months for our fall shindig on KY Lake. I will have a seat or two open on my boat and plan on taking a few days off work to fish with folks.

Upset I missed it. Too much on my plate as Abby was in a play on Friday followed by an 8 hr trip to Nashville today. Looks like good fun was had.
