    Default Lake Austin report

Water temp midway and upstream at 75 degrees as they are letting water out from the bottom of Lake Travis. Downstream near the Tom Miller Dam water temp is 84 degrees. We caught a couple over 6 feet of brush in 15 feet next to our favorite dock. Later in the morning we ventured upstream and checked multiple brush pilesName: IMG_0340.jpg

I don't care what the "experts" say about the Blacknose not fighting any harder than a normal Black Crappie of the same size .... THEY DO !! And they're more prone to jump completely out of the water (on hookset and/or when reeling them in) than any White or Black Crappie I've ever caught.

Good looking fish ya got there, dhaire !! Congrats

I swear MOHAWK crappie are a breed of their own ...I know scientific studies say bla bla bla about that but I aint convinced …
they used to say agent orange was ok back in the day as well …..I say whatever about them studies myself
if mohawks are not a separate species how is it some lakes are loaded with black crappie and have ZERO
and yet other spots have ONLY mohawks ? I know of 2 different lakes that occurs in ….
that one is a dandy for sure bro …..what a pretty creature ….congrats
