super glue gel would probly be best
OK, this may sound weird, but what is good to glue two pieces of styrofoam together? I thought about silicone, but not sure how strong it would be considering it is so flexible. No I'm not trying to salvage a $1 cooler...

You don't think it would melt the styrofoam? I thought about gorilla glue too, I hear great things about it, but I wonder about solvents melting the styrofoam.
Epoxy....will not attack the foam and very strong

depending on how large a piece of styrofoam your planning on trying to glue....you might try using a hot glue gun. Even with the heat it still should hold pretty good. I use it to glue all kinds of things together.
I'm not sure what glue might be best but I don't see any reason to worry if its okay or not. It should be fine with any of the above ideas.
