Bought to buy some new poles and baitcaster for spider rigging. All they will be used for it lite weight double minnow rigs and single jig. I hate braided line. What type of line are you guys using and what weight? Has anybody used Gamma line. I have heard some good things out of it

I run 10lb slimeline and really like it!
I run braid or fused line like Fireline but do have some rigged with vicious high vis which is ok. I run 1/4-3/8-1/2-3/4 mainly. Shallower the water lighter the weight.
Right now all my spinning reels are loaded with Nan-o-fil. 4# on the light action and 2# on the UL. Just received a spool of FireLine Ultra 8. Haven't used it yet. It's quite a bit stiffer than the Nan-o-fill. We shall see. Gonna have to be good stuff to replace the Nan-o-fill, though.
Check with ScottV....he is the spider rig king on Okatibbee

I like Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon -- always wondered about the Nano-fill if It was good or not.
12 lb. Stren main line , P line fluorocarbon leaders / double minnow rigs .
12 lb Stren in yellow for the main line to a barrel swivel and 12 lb Stren fluorocarbon for the leader on a double hook rig.
Tell'em I'll be there.
