Thanks Rich. I have one of the wonderful rods you made. There's only one problem with it, I feel it's too nice to use? One of a kind, so I rarely use it. I especially don't let anyone else use it! lol
Many people asked for it and Slab promptly delivered.

If you are not currently involved in rod building but are interested in this hobby, feel free to come on board and start a thread! There is hundreds of years of experience and everyone is willing to help you take that next step in getting involved in a new hobby and building your first fishing rod. Be warned though, once you start, it becomes very addicting.
If you have questions about a specific rod action, componant, or any general questions of interest, go ahead and stop on by. I'm sure there are many people willing to help!

I have a few of them that I know what is at stake if I break them but.... I built them to use.
FYI: That rod has a lifetime warranty!

I’ve seen some extraordinary rods that were built on the kitchen table. I’m excited to see what folks will come up with. I’ve done a few of my own but nothing like the components that are available today.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Thanks for your help Rich.
I built some rods in the late 70s when it was impossible to find bass "Flipping Sticks". Used Fenwick blanks and probably had $200 in each after I bought all the toys to do them. 7 1/2 " pool que was what I ended up with. Hated them. Stuck them in a corner for years till we sold them in a yard sale (another story there for later).

We already have a few threads started, an article on understanding action, and a sticky page to show off some of your work. I can't wait to see the work that some of your guys have done on some fishing rods.
There is already one rod posted that I KNOW "D" would love!
