Which is more Sensitive a one Piece Rod. or Two?
A Two piece has a brake in the Rod Blank.Does this break make a difference in Sensitivity?

My opinion, two section rods have come a long way. I would never buy a 2 pc rod in the past for giving up some feel. I have quite a few 2 pc JDM rods now that have the feel of one of my 1 pc looms or St croix.

Rod sensitivity is the vibration felt thru the rod blank and anything added to the rod i my opinion is going to have an effect on the sensitivity. The epoxy, paint, type of guides all would have an effect and putting a joint right in the middle of the two blank pieces would have some type of damper effect. It may only be barely noticeable but seems like it would have to make it somewhat less sensitive. Not saying 2 pc rods are not sensitive but a 1pc solid rod blank would seem more sensitive.Just my 2cts.

I have both a 6'6" and a 7'one piece rod. Each seem, at least to me, to be more sensitive than the 2 pc 7' rod that I also use. All are med light action. My .

Stands to reason that a one piece would be more sensitive "if of the same quality ".

I would think one piece rods would be more sensitive.

IMHO, I will not buy a 2Pc rod unless it is longer than 7'6". All of my short rods,
less than 7'6" are one piece. I buy St.Croix (USA made only), Fenwick and
Shimano rods. Anything greater than 8', then I will buy telescopic rods for trolling
for walleyes and springtime coho salmon, and then it becomes increasingly harder
to find long rods less than 2pc.

... because they use short rods. When they're all fishing 6-7' rods, it's easy to look down at multi-piece rods. (I'm old enough to remember when all the bass guys were using 5-5.5' rods with a "pistol grip" handle.)

BASS has recently increased the legal rod length to 10'. I think a lot of the bass pros will suddenly discover that you can catch fish with multi-piece rods.

Besides, the bass guys use 60# braid and pool cues to skate 2-pound bass across the surface. Then they hoot and holler like they just caught the world record.

And they're generally more interested in "power" over "sensitivity" ... because they're generally after fish that weigh much more than most Crappie can attain.
