Nice catch. Love me some 2lb Nanofil. Are you using a leader? It has almost no abrasion resistance and after losing a couple as big as a dinner plate I went to some 4lb Stren clear blue and problem solved. Thanks for the pics.

Thanks Skeet.Following your Post on lite Lines. No Leader.Tie straight to Jig.We fish Timber and Brush.
These crappie suspend in the tops of Trees.
About the only way to catch them is pulling Crankbaits Through these Trees. Costly.
We pull crankbaits through the Trees

Good catch. Sometimes catching fish under difficult conditions makes it more satisfying.

Great catch there! Interesting that you are working with Nanofil. When it first came out, I used it (2# test) on 3 rods for most of that season. Took it off after loosing too many fish to line breakage. Tried direct ties and leaders. Just could not get it to hole a knot for beans! (And I've been tying knots for over 50 years!.) Gave up on it and switched to 2# test Fireline Crystal and have never looked back. I'm happy it's working for you though.

Never had to use any fancy knots with Fireline, fluorocarbon or monofilament. All the regular knots hold fine with these lines. Not sure of what you believe the benefits "truly" are with Nanofil? Please elaborate. Again, I'm pleased that it's working out for you regardless.
