Crappie seem to be tough on that end of the lake but when you find one it's a good one. Pulling cranks is pretty good for several species. Goggle eye can usually be found near the dam.

we are headed to Table Rock Lake July 20th to the 28th, and the boat slip is at Indian Point Marina - first time on the lake so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Would like to pull crank-baits or spider-rig for crappie, or just catch fish to keep the family engaged
Thx

It's a tough lake to learn. This time of year drop shot on bass is good but you need good electronics.

Thanks...
Everything I have read about Table Rock Lake is on bass fishing mostly . The boat has Helix SI and DI plus 360 so electronics is not an issue. Though about a guide but everyone I Googled are mostly bass fishing, so I guess I might need to read up on drop shot techniques for bass LOL I read that trout fishing is good on Taneycomo Lake below the dam, is that river/lake accessible by boat?
Yes you can use a boat taneycomo although I havent been over there in years. Trout is not my thing. If you do go the guide for bass route I have fished with Eric olliverson several times on table Rock and he has put us on fish Everytime. I think he even guides on taneycomo.
