Default Milk run waters ...photo heavy

I have a few spots that some would say are my milk runs . I hit them most of the time once a week if I feel confident the fish are where I can get to them. This said one of my favorites is a little state park lake out west of ft worth . I know its flat full of crappie and has lots of fishing docks and its on the way to a spot I have to visit for work .
So it begins and I chat with a couple of cat fish guys who want to know the deal on entry before hours as we are all there at first light . I told them I carry a pass to the state parks and just fill out paperwork and drop it in the slot and put my tag on my windshield . Seems they wanted to pay cash and it isn't set up for that and off I went .
Its a fair ways from the house and I wanted to visit the restroom before I hit the dock I like ,but there was already a line at the restroom when I got there
The bunnies were out in droves with the deer early as well and it was quite clam and serene and not terribly warm just yet . First pitch a small one swallowed my jig and the rest is shall they say history . Fish size was pretty good and it was on like you know what for about an hour or so . The sun got up a bit and they slowed up and went deeper and down the road I went .
The particulars were as follows , fish were holding from about 6 deep to 13 foot deep in 14 foot of water . Baits were anything I wanted to pitch and any size as well . I played bluegill boy a bit and managed a few and a crappie on my bluegill white dragon cricket hand tie and then along came some big ole whale fish and took my jig
I also lost a really large crappie early on the green jig as I could not swing the thing up over the railing that is about 12 feet above the water . I hit that big ole fish hard on the top rail and it went right back in where it came from . AND yes I did say a very ugly word and mess up the serenity of the morning
hit it a little over and hour , probably passed the 40 or so fish mark pretty easily .and don't go thinking there is a method to my madness either yawl , it is what it is ….
that's my story for the week and I am sticking to it ...and sticking them crappie as well
hope you enjoy the read and photos

Good post and catch. Looks like they were hitting a variety of colors.
