Black Salty minnows

Anybody tried these for crappie? Sounds appealing for several reasons.

Goldfish are goldfish. And "Black Saltys" are goldfish. All the hype aside.

Yeah, I read that eariler but for $75 shipped to me for 5 pounds, that's a good bit cheaper than regular minners, and they'll survive year round with minimal care, because they're goldfish.

I don't know if $75 is the current price but it's the only price I could find. It may be an old price.

Loanoke Ar, will ship 5 #s FedEx, ends up about $75 +. They are good, large, hardy. I drive over and get em in the spring, last nearly all year

I guess you do use them for crappie fishing? They seem to be fairly popular with the Stripe fishing crowd. The smalles size they have listed on their website is 2-3"

I wonder if they will sell them smaller? If I bought some this year I'd rather get 1-2" then they wouldn't be so large by spring. I'd use them this fall, but I wouldn't use them all up.

Give Anderson fish farm in Lonoke a call and see. I bet they would sell them a little smaller.

they are right popular live bait for very large bass at lake fork ….or were back in the day ,and I hear tell they use them for trot lines as well ….
never seen small ones but I bet they would work for crappie
