    Default MarkTwain Heatin Up

Got out yesterday afternoon, caught 10 and kept 8 about 10" to 12". Most were caught with minnows tipped with crappie nibble near the bank 1.5 feet deep. Also caught a couple on a roadrunner. BEWARE of the 15ibs. GAR with the roadrunner in his lip, he's pissed.

What part of Twain were you fishing? I launch out of South Fork. I'm itching to get a line wet.

If you put in at South Fork, J marker is up not down, right? I never had much luck that far up the forks this early since its usually too muddy up there. You were referring to the J marker area were you not?

"Stained" water this time of the year at Twain means lower lake! I'm convinced the fish in Twain have evolved sonar to see through the muddy water. The last few years it has gotten somewhat clear during the summer- except during the weekends when the traffic stirs up the mudlines again.
