Good to hear Speck.
Good fishing to ya.
Got out yesterday afternoon, caught 10 and kept 8 about 10" to 12". Most were caught with minnows tipped with crappie nibble near the bank 1.5 feet deep. Also caught a couple on a roadrunner. BEWARE of the 15ibs. GAR with the roadrunner in his lip, he's pissed.

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty ia a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." - Benjamin Franklin.
What part of Twain were you fishing? I launch out of South Fork. I'm itching to get a line wet.
I put in at S. Fork and headed down towards the J flats. Pretty muddy but it didnt seem to matter.
If you put in at South Fork, J marker is up not down, right? I never had much luck that far up the forks this early since its usually too muddy up there. You were referring to the J marker area were you not?
j marker is by brush creek, and it is up the south fork. good fishing.
"Stained" water this time of the year at Twain means lower lake! I'm convinced the fish in Twain have evolved sonar to see through the muddy water. The last few years it has gotten somewhat clear during the summer- except during the weekends when the traffic stirs up the mudlines again.
sorry guys, technically up, whenever i head south i guess i just say down. anywy if you know where j marker is you get the point.
