    Default Chautauqua ice broke up today!!


    I drove around the lake today and the wind blew the ice off the lake today. Crappies here I come!!!!

    I caught a few 3 lb crappies from this lake. How big are they down there?

    Oh yeah...them crappie better watch out now! I'm glad that your gonna be on the wet stuff soon. I know you've been in hibernation too long...:D

    And I think even a Texan would commend you on 3lb crappie...I know I do.

    i grew up in olean ny,but never started crappie fishin til i moved to nc i have fished the lakes up there but dont miss the cold(was 84 here today)......congrats on ice-out

    Thanks all. We have had a beautiful week with temps up in the 70's. This has been a hibernatingish winter for me and this weather is like medicine. I'll be thrashing the water daily for sure. :D
