    Are there any crappie in that lake. Looking at homes in that area.

    I'm not from Florida but if you are talking about the lake that is connected to crescent lake yes the crappie are good and some years it's great and some it is just ok. But if I moved down here I don't think I would worry to much all the lakes around here have good and bad years. I fish Harris chain most of the time. Good luck with your home purchase.

    He's not talking about the Dead Lake that connects to Crescent. He is referring to the one called Dead LakeS (note the S) in the Florida panhandle. It is fed by the Chipola River, and yes, there is crappie over there. Just how that area is fished I don't know, so no help from me there I'm afraid..

    yes there are nice crappie in that area. you can also fish the Apalachicola river for crappie out of blountstown. i have family there, thats how this hoosier knows the area. you can and wlll get lost in the dead lakes also.
