I use a simple marabou-and-chenille jig. It will catch anything.

I actually bought some maribou feathers the other day also. Thanks for your reply.

Same for me.....marabou horse head spins are the tops! Here's my one of my most productive and favorite pattern, the gray ghost. Tied by one of our members here on Crappie.com - skiptomylu:

Yup. Marabou jigs all the way. I like ultra-lite sizes in Black, Yellow and Chartreuse. They tie up in about 5 minutes.

Rich, with that grey ghost RR setup, do you add a plastic body of some sort or run it just as it's pictured?
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Here is a typical pattern that I tie. I use cheap acrylic yarn instead of chenille. It works great and costs a fraction of what chenille usually goes for. You can get it t any Walmart for $1.99 for 500 yards.

Just as pictured....no add-ons. Not really needed. The kill this thing! Neck & neck with straight tailed plastics, this is my No. 1 producer.

    Good economical point.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

Gigmaster, that tip really makes "cents", quite a few of them. Thanks!
