taking grandson's fishing there, does anyone have some general info never been there would like to do some crappie fishing

i havent fished the state waters since the ramp tax went in affect. you should find them in the shallows. the same old jigs or minnows under float. lots of wood there, were we used to pullum, if im remembering rite. move like your bass fishing until you catch one then cast around that area.
