    Default Roadrunner Crappie Thunder

Crappie Thunders by Blakemore, I was just wondering how many crappie anglers on Crappie.com has tried them and what size and colors works best for you. I have had alot of success on the lime/Chartruse and White/Chartruse. What's your favorite? Look forward to see your favorite's...

    Default Road Running

    Mr. Crappie,

This is old ship, "The Crappie Sheriff"

I use RR heads when I tie as well as Glow in the dark beads on the other jigs I tie. I find that these pretty much solves my jig situations. Sometimes I spice it up with just a little Anise and garlic salt for flavoring. ANYTHING by RR works as long as it has a Chartreuse head and anything Chartreuse / White / and a whisp of blood hair that pulsates works quite well.

I prefer 1/32 jigs and RR's because they are easier for the fiish to inhale and they hold on just a tad longer.

Jimmy Houston uses them if that means anything, but personally I like feather tail type jigs best. I like hackle and marabou tails and seldom use anything else.

I believe most here have seen what RR I use as I just posted pics last week or two.

Hey Wally...Good ol' buddy TJ gave me some opaque colors to try out, and I've had nothing but great success with them last year. We'll see if these will be my go-to bait again this year.

I've had good luck with the black/chartreuse and the green/chartreuse. Jimmy Houston calls it the John Deere color combo. I haven't really used many other colors even though I've bought a bunch.

I've been told my 1/8 oz are too big. I guess I'll be buying a box of 1/16 oz.

I bought some last week and tried them, but conditions were even catching em on live bait. I went straight for Blk/Char. The first one so far, broke my line casting it and went sailing across the lake so I'm saving the other for the right moment.
