mmm...walleye! I was up there too. Caught a bunch dipping trees before 8am. All about 10' down in 14-20 fow.
Started hitting the main lake brush piles at daybreak and off by 10. Didn't see much on most of the piles, last one had quite a few on it, but started getting beat up by the waves so I took off. Picked up a bonus wally, he was right at the legal limit, didn't keep any fish today, might hit it again tomorrow.

Nice eye! I was out this morning also right at light dipping trees just north of w around Trimble area. Tough bite for me, could not figure them out at all. Off the water by noon and man was the ramps busy. Only reason I went was because I needed to feel the thump, unfortunately needing to feel the thump happened to be on one of the busiest holiday weekend at the lake. Tight lines and stay safe, y’all.
We left a little before 10 this morning with 11 keepers fishing main lake brush casting jigs and roadrunners. Had 17 yesterday doing the same thing. We caught close to 150 yesterday to get the 17 keepers.
Smithville can be a pretty busy place around the holidays. Be careful and stay safe guys
