If anyone wants to get an idea of what our soldiers went through under the harshest of conditions, you might want to read Stephen Ambrose, Citizen Soldiers, a factual account of draftees and enlistees that fought, died, suffered dearly and sacrificed all in Europe during WWll. Just one example of what thousands went through, much less their families, THAT MUST BE REMEMBERED on Memorial Day lest future generations come to believe - let him or her make the ultimate sacrifice - I got a life to live that's just as important. (Heard that said by a college student, quoted on a PBS show about the Iraq War.)
