    Default Aluminum boats

Does any one here still troll out of a aluminum boat? I’ve got a 15/48 war eagle I’m looking to set up to troll out of and looking for ideas. So show them aluminum trolling rigs

I trolled from a 14' Duracraft for 40 years, using home made trolling brackets and caught fish. My neighbor trolls from a little bigger War Eagle.

    I troll cranks quite a bit out of a 14' Alumacraft semi-v.

I have a group 29 battery up front and a 40lb thrust TM on the transom. Two rod holders mounted in the middle, two rods is hard enough to manage.

With this setup I can troll for hours at 2mph.

"Trolling" can mean several different methods, what do you plan on doing?

I have a deep v 16' Slyvan that I trolling, spider rig, out of. 80# TM and a pair of gruop 31 batteries. It pulled 4 of us around the lake last weekend. Yes, it's a aluminum boat.

When I get home I will take some pictures of my rig. Though, it is a 2070 but is set up to both troll and spider rig. I could easily fish 16 rods and have two pairs of fisherman at one time. This is my first year with it but has worked even better than I thought it would.

There is nothing wrong with your boat for trolling!

If you would go right here, there are roughly 60 pages of boat pictures. There are several that fit your bill. Enjoy.

I troll 95% of the time out of an Excel Bay Pro 203 center console. I can pull cranks with my 140 Suzuki with “troll mode” switch or 112 pound Terrova IPilot.

All you need is a good trolling motor...some long poles and a rod holder
