What is that gray jig? Water temp and depth? Sorry for the questions. I am in NC trying to figure out post spawn crappie now. Water between 67-72 degrees. Nice video!

Chevync20 I read a report today that the water here had reached 80° but the day of this vid the water temp got up to 74°.
I fished from 8 to 12fow with most of the fish hitting the jig around 6 to 8'.
There are several names for this plain grey jig, G4 grey ghost and several other names. I tie this jig and call it "That Grey Jig" just to keep it simple... it's one of my favorites...

Stainless it's a ton of fun.....

between 67 and 72 its likely you have white crappie on fire and not post spawn ...just saying
black crappie are likely done with the most of it though

    Thanks y'all....

Ketchn did you really watch that vid? Man I really appreciate it if so bud....I know you're always busy....it don't matter pre-spawn, spawn or post-spawn in gonna fish the deeper waters with the spawning areas right there.....
I've been wackn'um in the same area 2 months now...
I've fished 4 or 5 areas on this lake near spawning areas and the fish are just plum stacked up....
I only caught one fish that looked to still have eggs and that tells me post-spawn is right now....
Besides anything I've read or heard about water temps goes on the back burner when the fish tell me different....
I know for a fact at least on my lake the fish go shallow in a lot colder surface water temps than I've ever read or heard anyone say....
I'm lookn for the shad to clear out soon and the crappie are gonna be right behind them....
