    Default Rod Wrapping advice

About 10 years ago I attended a workshop that showed us how to wrap the eyes on a rod. I have a bunch of old rods I have picked up at auctions and want to rewrap the eyes on them but can't remember the knot they used befor applying the epoxy.

Do any of you have any advice?

Padelbug; yes I wrap rods for a living its called the old fly tiers whip finish, simmply make a small loop out of nylon thread or piece of mono line, wrap your thread up on guide foot, then 4to6 turns from the end insert loop under thread, wrap over loop hold main wrap down on rod with finger pressure cut thread, insert thread end into loop pull through, trim off at wrap, your done!

I do rods too, but instead of a wire I use Spiderwire 30lb test to pull my tag line. Because it's so limber it lays tighter to the blank, thus tighter wraps.
