    Talking Smithville Bank Fishing 05/04/2018

Fished for about 3.5 hours on the banks. Had to move around to find them. It's about a month late but the season is finally here.

The spawn at Smithville is always the week before or week of Mother’s Day.

I normally just go by water temp since these winters are changing drastically in the midwest.

Thank you! It's my first fish since I took some time off back in 2016!

Here are some photos from me and my friends back in early April 2015.

All the marina docks because of easy access.. I haven't fished any of the bridges in about 5 years but the bridges are just as good around the brush piles.

Went out again last night and caught about half a limit before the rain came in. Decent 10s.

Spent an hour and a half today and caught limit. These fish are 10"+ but still small compared to many other years.

It was pretty crowded out there and multiple people caught their limits before me. Lots of eggs in them right now.
