Default Preserving minnows after their unfortunate passing?

I would love to know how to preserve shiners after they die like you see in those fancy pants bags at Walmart. Any of you guys know how thats done?

I guess I should have clarified better, I don't want to freeze them. I want preserve them in something like salt peter, but theres a formula used to do it.
