    On a transom mounted trolling motor how many inches below the surface of the water to the center of the prop ? -Thanks

    What ever doesn't suck air from the top or smack the bottom, is good. Bear in mind, it's just a trolln' motor. I have 3 of them and they are all the same.

    I always run mine as deep as the conditions allow. Like said above- you won't have prop "blow out" or splashing water. If really shallow water run your trolling motor just deep enough it doesn't stir up silt which spooks fish.
