    Default Little Niangua 4/27 - 4/29

Had a nice weekend with my wife and daughter. Fish cooperated for the most part...bite was steady. Jig with slab busters and Bobby Garland Slab Slayers and crappie nibble for us. Blue/White and Pink/white (my daughter's "favorite color"). Water temps 62 - 63 in afternoons. Found some 65 degree water up around the 6 MM. Visibility was very good for this time of year...3'+ up around our place at the 2 MM....quite a bit more stained up around the 5 - 6. Fished black/chart. up in the stained water. Never left the Little Niangua and had plenty of fish. Kept enough for a nice meal and put the rest back for you all to play with. Biggest was around 12.5, so nothing huge. Seemed like we caught a lot of shorts to get keepers...maybe 3/1 shorts/keepers. Still fun. Seems like trolling in the summer, rarely catch a short...nearly all keepers (keep in mind I just started trolling the past few years, so not a lot of experience to work from. Tight lines...
