I bet you will find them again. Thanks for the update.
After working half a day and mowing my grass before I go to camp I decided to go try the spot I fished Thursday and wow what a difference.
I only managed to catch one big male in that spot so I started moving up the creeks casting a bobber and jig picking up one every once in awhile. I brought home 12 and they were all males but one and she was ready to spawn by how her eggs looked.
The water came up a few inches since Thursday so I don't know if that pushed the females back out? Can't believe the difference in two days.
I bet you will find them again. Thanks for the update.
Glad ya found a 12-pack of Crappie
They'll be back!
If we did what was most important in life there
would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles
good job brian , you will find them again next week
keep your lines tight as you never know
I had the same and so did everyone I talked with ...was on the water before sunrise with no other boats at one of my favorite areas and only had 2 good fish after an hour...also more shorts, really surprised me based upon the fish I was on earlier in the week. saw Richard, he said it had definitely slowed down. lotta shorts. I had to move a lot to find a few aggressive better fish. I limited but not with the overall quality of the what I had earlier in the week. I also thought it seemed colder yesterday even though the ambient temp was not that different.I think the Wind was out of E/ NE?
heck if I know, that's why its fishing not catching. lotta fishing left for sure. good or bad, still the best way to spend a saturday...
I guess the silver lining is the fish didnt totally get hammered by the huge crowd that showed up??
Yep it was definitely colder especially the ride back to the ramp at 8:30pm lol.
I wish I started running and gunning the banks earlier instead of sitting in one area. Oh well it was still fun.
prolly just getting started fish may be in the shallows eatin before the spawn??
