    Default Mohawk surprise

Caught our second Mohawk in a week. Those missing chromosomes seem to make them more feisty. Almost did not get this bad boy in the boat.

yeah, those "experts" can say what they will about a Blacknose not being any more "feisty" than a regular Black Crappie, but MY experiences with them says otherwise !!

First and only Crappie that I've ever had jump clear out of the water (several occasions) and one even jumped clear across the bow of the boat (Tracker TX17) right after I set the hook on it. Crazy thing cleared the opposite side of the boat by a good 4ft before spashing down !!

That is a very cool looking fish. Are you going to have it mounted?

Never thought of that. Both of these are filets now.

Haha. Well, I guess it's a little late then. What did you catch it on?

The black nose are truly unique.
If we did what was most important in life there would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles
