Default Braided Line I tried the new stuff...Opinion!

Just thought I would tell everyone what I found out ( strictly my opinion)about the new lines I tried and here it is.....

Well I have tried the new Ultracast Spiderwire and found it to be troublesome. It still digs into the spool when pulling on it when I got snagged. It wrapped around the tip of my rod a lot.

I also tried the new Fireline Crystal and it was better, but using a 1/32 oz jig it kept a coil in the line (didn't straighten out). I didn't have any trouble with it like I did the Spiderwire.

However when it comes down to it Power Pro is still king here with me!

Thanks for the info Skip. Good to know. I'm not a big fan of superlines myself. Too much trouble, though the crystal interests me.
Good things come to those who bait.

I have 4 rods spooled with vraid and I like the ease of use of mono, but love the strenth/diameter ratio of braid and sensitivity. i used 10 lb power pro today and didnt lose a single lure even tho i snagged at least a dozen times.
