Hey a fellow Ontario....ian. I was just out yesterday ...we still have 3 ft of ice. Caught mostly bass . Our spawn is usually about the last week in may around here . I am guessing that you are going to be about a month ahead of us. I can't work this spring (recovering hip surgery) so for the first time in my life I have time to really track the crappies in the spring.(I fish the h*ll out of them all summer) There is a lot of good info on this board and by returning often and watching the posts should keep you informed as the conditions that are favourable to the spawn work there way north to us.
Good luck Canuck............Hated the was the game ended last night!!!

    Hey Scott,
I wasn't aware there was any crappie fishing to be done up there. Heck it's barely warm enough here in Virginia, and the last snow fall just melted off this week, but I"m going tomorrow.

Wait a minute! Aren't you fairly close to the casino in Niagara? Damn thats where I'd be until that ice melts!!!

There are casinos all over the place up here now. Its kinda scary because I know most of the people from around here can't afford to lose money in them and I know they do. There are two Seneca Casinos and a brand new one in Erie PA besides all the ones up around the falls. I'd rather go fishing.
Good things come to those who bait.
