    Default Spawn jig color

So, I really enjoy making my own jigs using mostly black , chartreuse, white, pink , blue . But here’s my question.
Do colors really make much difference in the spring when long lining? That’s all I’m doing AND around here most tip them with a minnow so I’m wondering if just dragging a split shot, hook and minnow is just as good?

Unpainted ponyhead w a minnow should work well. I think it boils down to these things though.

What’s this spawn you speak of? Fish around here don’t know whether to scratch their watch or wind their tail!
