I知 looking for recommendations on a strong good casting line. I致e been using standard 6 lb P line, it works pretty well but I知 wanting something a little stronger with out sacrificing how far I can cast.

I suggest Stren Crappie Mono. I've been using the 2# for a couple of years now. It's diameter and "pound test" are much closer to reality than most lines. For example, their 8# line is .22mm in diameter, which is the same diameter as most 6# lines on the market.

I really like the Mr. Crappie 6lb hi-vis green. It casts good for me and it bends hooks 90% more than it breaks. IMO

I certainly don't mean to hijack here, but when my line does break, it's at the knot (loop knot). Is that just the common place for it to break, due to the pressure of the knot?
If you lube your knot when tying it helps and a palomar knot is one of the strongest knots.

Suffix 832 6lb-10lb, or Nanobraid. Need to use a palomar knot or a similar knot with the Nanobraid or the knot slips. Nanobraid or a different brand of nanofil line has the farthest casting distance of any line I've used.
I bought 4 spools of the new Stren Crappie I am really impressed with it. It is real limp and is pretty tough as light pound line goes.
