Choot'em Troy
I went down and fished the everglades this weekend for the first time in a few years. The water is low so there is a lot of fish to be caught in the canals right now. I caught fish all day long tossing a spook. While fishing this alligator approached the boat and was very aggressive. I think people have been feeding the gator because he had no fear of me or my boat and banged into it several times.
We are here also fishing for Oscars. Plenty to catch of many species. Lots of nice bream in the mix today.

I missed the part where the gator attacked your boat, way I look at it that's his domain your the visitor. Shoulda pounced on em' Steve Irwin style and showed him whose boss!! Crikey!! He's really upset now...
The gator must not like green carp fisherman....

Pretty cool video!

I wonder why that alligator was so aggressive?
We've experienced that also. It's much worse in the canals around the I75 boat ramps. People are feeding them. They catch a small fish and toss it to the gators. So they have been "trained" to approach boats. No place for a kayak, thoughi see them on occasion.
