I Am Planning A Tripp To Weiss 3/10/05 Is This A Good Time To Troll
And What Area Is Good This Time Of Year .last Time I Fished Weiss I
Fished Yellow Creek Area .caught Fish But Not A Lot.any Help Appreciated

When I've been down there, I've fished the docks in the creek where the Marina is located. I've also gone out of the creek, hung a right, and gone up into the Little River area and trolled the channel (many of the guides go there). Just have a good topo map, and stay in the deep water when riding from spot to spot. The lake is quite shallow, in places, and very stump filled (even right out in what appears to be the middle of the lake and wide open water).
Depending on the weather and water level & condition - you could be there at the pre-spawn schooling to staging time. I'd stay in contact with JR's Marina (or watch the website) during the last couple of weeks prior to your trip .... you might also want to Google up - Weiss Lake fishing report - and check out those sites that have an updated report ... like: http://www.havefunfishing.com/fishin...port_weiss.htm

Compare the reports vs the areas they're reporting from ... and check that against your map. Keep close tabs on the water level and water temps !! ...luck2ya ...cp

Crappiepappy is right JRS,is a fine place,another is Bay Spring's.I fish weiss often.fished it today & also Sat,I know I got my limit today,But only keep 15,Me & My fishing partner keep 40 sat,so I didn't need any more right now.We have been fishing the main river channel off of the narrows.also spring creek area.>>>>Bentpole
