Thanks for the video. Next week will be my first time out on the boat. Water temp should be in the 40's, air temp in the 50's. It's just a matter of finding fish with my lures.
I will be pulling out the boat this weekend with hopes to put it on a river and dodge some icebergs. Ice fishing season has been sooo long, I think I forgot how to cast. Anyway, this is what happens when us northerners are caught between ice and open water season.
Hope you enjoy!

what state are you fishing in? I'm think some flies/larva on a spring bobber will be a good once the water temps get into the mid 40s.
southern NY
The lures I use all year round always work regardless the water temperature. Especially for cold water, I stay with 1/32 oz jigheads and finesse plastics, going to 1/16 oz when the water hits 50+. There are many Frankenstein modified plastics I'm dying to try.
These are tried and true backups:
i'll have to take a look at Frankenstein plastics. that spoon minnow looks good for summer time bite.
You'll never guess the mold used ......wait for it.....wait for it............a tablespoon! It works anyplace, anytime as long as length is between 1.5" - 2 3/4". 3" or larger. It catches panfish, pike and bass. Best used on a 1/32 - 1/8 oz ball head jig and easy to make.
