Default Trolling motor cut off switch

I recently installed a MinnKota PowerDrive 24 volt motor. I have the wires coming off the motor to a breaker then to the battery. I have been leaving one wire unhooked from the battery when not in use. Is it possible to put a cut-off switch somewhere to keep from digging the loose wire out? Thanks!

Many times we will be fishing away, and the boat will start going around in circles, I look, and the dog will be standing on the switch. doesn't help you, but your post reminded me of it.

    This.

The cheapest solution would be a Minn Kota mkr-12 quick connector plug. They're about $10

Walmart has a quick disconnect that fits on top of battery. Has a twist knob that does what you are doing by taking your wire loose. In battery section in store. Have used in past and they work great

I installed a small cut off switch on my pontoon and it works perfect. All you need is a on off switch.
