Thats great skip. Thanks for the news. Sounds like he might be almost ready to grab a pole and go fishin.
Well I just talked to Randy and things are pretty much the same, just keeps healing more and more until they can test his left foot/nerve thing. However the one really new good news is that he is starting to get a little more feeling back in his foot (kind of a numb feeling, but still something) and the pain level in his foot it self is improved. He still has to take a lot of pain meds, but at least his foot is better. Use to be just touching it was really painful for him, but that is the part that is better. He walks more and more with out his walker. He still has to use a wheel chair on longer type outings, but short walks he is doing that on his own.
Thanks all for you continued prayers and support,
Skip

Good things come to those who bait.
I know it's a long road to recovery but it sure sounds like he's well on his way. Good luck with the rest of the journey.

Yes his Humvee was over an IED when they set it off on December 22nd. That was a really bad day here to get the call telling me my son had been severely injured and it was several days with storied changing for a bit before we even knew the extent of his injuries. The Army was great though as he was stuck in Iraq for a couple of days due to bad weather, but ones he got to Germany they sent a team from Texas to bring him back to Brooke Army Medical Center. He has improved a lot since then and is ahead of schedule. It will still be a while before we know just to what extent he will get back to where he was.Originally Posted by backtocrappie

Skip,
Tell your son warm regards from old Virginny. He's half my age and twice my hero! God bless the lad.
