    Default Storm Lures

Has anyone had success with these? I bought some of these because I like to crappie fish with minnows and these look amazing. I got the 2" Silver Shiner color. Problem is, I can't get the crappie to hit em. The freaking stripers love the things though...
Too big for the crappie maybe?

Love the wiggle warts. Great for casting 6-10 feet deep and for trolling 10 to 12 foot deep. Larger wiggle warts will go down 12 to 15 I think but never use them. There is also a smaller one that does not go as deep. Catch quite a few catfish also trolling with them for crappie. Like the bright colors, also with the red bellies. The ivory color is also great for crappie.
the trick to catch that finnicky speck....
gently set the hook just before the peck

Looks like they should kill in the 2-3 inch sizes.

Don't know where you live but have used them when the weather turns quite warm and the water temps get close to the upper 60's. They work for walleyes.

I went today and while the bite was a little hard along with the wind I did get 14 in 3-4 hrs. As I was getting ready to come home due to wind I went thru a place and was getting a lot of taps but no hook-ups and then lost my tube jig to a stump and put a 2" swim bait on that looked like below but was a Riverside I think. Had a minnow colored Storm on my other pole and was not getting bite, notice this one is chartruse, CT1. Caught about 4 on that bait and one on the storm after I took a red sharpe and put a stripe down both sides. So I was made a believer in swim baits today. I can't find any of the riverside ones on the net to show, got mine at Wally World.

I have some and can't wait to try em. I'm real excited about crappie sized swimbaits, especially for larger fish.

Wayne and I went out for about 3-4 hrs this morning and caught 33 with the biggest 1-4. For about the first 2 hrs the swim bait was the best and then the gold sparkle/white umbrella tube took over. When I go back to town I am going to pick up a few more pkgs at Wally World and will know for sure what brand it is, the top one is the Storm and the bottom one is the ? brand. The ? was by far the best this morning until I took a red Sharpe and put a belly on the Storm. Also the ? is a little smaller. Water temp 68 and fish were from 6 to 12 FOW. Saw a lot of boats in very shallow flats, don't know how they were doing, bite shut down at about 10:30.

I know Joey Faulkner and used to run around with Jody Faulkner years ago. Went to high school with Jason Faulkner. (What is it with the letter "J")
I pretty much grew up here, but moved away to Knoxville about 9 years ago and have lost touch/forgot most of the people. Just moved back in June 05.
