or a bit more was the maximum gust speeds .....but it was "only" about 15 or a bit above most of the time sustained .....
man was it tough to get on them fish , I think they were pushed off the spots they like in the spring or something along that line as they didn't seem to be in them when we got there .
casting was a real chore and holding a float still was nearly impossible . I took the wife to our little country spot to ketch some crappie but soon figured out I was wrong about them still biting well no matter the wind speed or direction . I even went so far as to tell her it should be good with the wind to our backs on that little point !
Long story short I played with the fish best I could and my wife struggled to ketch them for sure right along with me . At one point she finally managed a tiny crappie and was super happy about it , I apologized for its size and the conditions and she said its ok I am just happy I finally caught a crappie I don't care if its a lil one ....
Had a little fun with them pond fish and it was sure off for that spot but in the end we hurt a bunch of lil fishee lips and I managed few nice crappie in the mix as well ......
sometimes it just is what it is don't ya know
stay tuned and have a great day

Very nice job. Looks cold too!

I know it will get better. However, as I sit in the waiting room during my wife’s colonoscopy, I am watching it snow, and temps in the 30’s. In mid March! In TN!
Better to get out and do something than to sit home wishin and do nothing. Good deal!

Man I love it when a plan comes together...sure glad you was able to get a few for the pan...
Nice catch. That wind has been tough the last couple of days for sure.
Be safe and good luck fishing
Fun times with the fam for sure....
And mind you this ,dont let them lil ripples in the water fool ya ...i pick sheltered areas in that kind a wind ...lol
Sweet !
Now there's a Fishing Bond for ya !
