My girlfriend caught this carp yesterday on her first cast! She didn’t want to hold it for a pic because it was “icky”. Lol.
She caught it on a pink Maribou roadrunner with chart body and pink head that had been heavily doused with slab sauce. The fish was 28 inches and 10 pounds even. Put up quite a fight on the 6 pound test with a small reel and a cheap-o rod. She was very happy.
I managed 2 crappie but they were very smal. Boat motor issues forced me back to the ramp early. I also learned I’m not very good at getting the boat on the trailer without my big motor... oh well. First trip out coulda been worse! A minor repair to the fuel line and I’ll be back on the water next weekend! Name: IMG_8442.jpg

Is that sauce that powerful ? I have used corn for decades for carp & even sourdough bread to catch carp but never thought it would hit anything plastic. Never stop learning
