    Default Trolling Motor Question

Can the head of a motorguide transom mount trolling motor be turned around to use as a bow mount. Also are the shafts the same size for minnkota and motorguide. Have motorguide bow mount foot control prefer hand control. I purchased the bushing needed to fit in the bow mount to accept the smaller shaft.

My old one, it was a "quickstik" with the big stirrup handle, 52 lb thrust, yep.
You had to take three screws out of bottom of head, then there was a
quarter inch bolt cross-ways thru the head and shaft. (Inside the head) It was down under the wad of wires, sort of hard to get too. But pull it and reverse, put back in, and you're in business!

I bought a motorguide transom to use on my pontoon boat. I called MG and they faxed me a drawing of that very thing, turning the head around to use on the bow. Took 15 minutes to fix.

Yeah, I turned the head around on my Motorguide transom mount so I could run it off the bow.
