    Default Spyderlok screws


    Ok guys, just got my new R-100 Spyderloks in. Wahoo! Ok, though Does anyone know the drill bit size for the pilot hole for these screws??? Will be mounting/drilling fiberglass.
    EZ Pole???

    What I do is place a piece of tape over the area I am going to drill. Match the drill bit to the exact size of the screw and then go to a one size smaller drill bit to drill your pilot hole. Use a little wd40 on the screw and screw in the screw slowly. This works for me, I am very cautious when drilling into a fiberglass boat at the prices of boats these days.

    Just a diagram, no directions or sizes. Speaking of anyone have a preference on plate placement/orientation. It's 4x3.5 so does it matter which way the plate is oriented.
    Figured I would pm him if he didn't see the thread.
    Yeah, I'm squeamish about drilling into the boat as much as that thing cost, but I had to get cover it
