Now that's a rewarding experience. Good feeling too I suspect.
There are those days ,where you venture off to a spot or 2 that most likely don't have a bite . Of course one will never know unless one goes and to be sure even with good intel ,sometimes it just isn't happening .
So without any information on either spot and a bit of time I hit 2 different lakes for about 30 minutes each . Lake one not a single PECK and to make matters worse pelicans and cormorants were all over the little 25 acre lake
lake 2 similar situation in that there were about 150 cormorants on it with pelicans here and there as well ....
So I was close to getting totally skunked and about to say oh well it could happen when THUMP !
The fish starts ripping drag and going fast as heck out to deeper water . Then it turns and comes racing at me like a hybrid . I tell myself for sure not a crappie ,probably a bass or catfish since the lake don't have striped fish in it . Next thing you know its on top acting like it wants to jump and its a real nice crappie !
somehow I managed to land it on a dock that's about 6 to 8 feet above the water and to be sure it makes me cringe to try to lift a big girl that far .
So case in point , no matter who what or where there are those days when JUST one bite makes you smile
and to be sure if you think you have then figured out just wait because there is always a day when you don't .
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whalesAdcarson79 thanked you for this post
