I'm trying to figure out how to mount a Minn Kota 330PC.
Does it matter if it is upside down? The wiring would look better this way.
The other option is mounting it in the bottom of the battery locker. I'm guessing this is a bad ideal, due to stuff getting dropped on top of it.
Should I just mount it right side up in the side of the locker and just use a bunch of flexible wire loom?

And...Mount it on a piece of plywood or starboard.....if mounting to a aluminum boat....do not mount directly to the aluminum......you want it insulated from the aluminum, that is also per MinnKota
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Disregard G. It looks like the plywood is supposed to act like an electronic isolator, to prevent electrolysis.
Thanks for the help. Once I got the batteries in there, the front of the locker was dead space. I ended up mounting the charger flat. It saved from messing with a plywood isolator, plus the wire run looks good, and I can easily see the "display" from either side of the boat while the batteries are charging. I may throw my fenders on top of the charger, since I rarely use them, and they shouldn't hurt the it.
