Default Lowrance HDS Gen 2 settings for crappie

I’ve seen some great images from some Lowrance units. However, I can’t get mine dialed in to produce a great image. I fish normally muddy water and I’ve read that may be part of the problem. I use 800 kHz on DI after I see something that looks good. Does anyone know the settings for better images?

I've seen some good pictures on the 9, I use my 12 most of the time to find stuff then get up front and fish it. The 7 is a little small for detail pictures.

Try raising your motor up pretty high, get it out of the way

Reports indicate Lowrance LSS seems to garner better imaging from a boat speed of 3-5mph ...
