    Default The Right boat struggles.

I Ahhhhh..... The struggle is real. In an almost two year search for the ultimate boat . I've fished with some top knotch anglers in fine boats and some I've just picked there brains on there boats. I found myself in Wedowee yesterday so I stopped in Wedowee marine to see my old buddy Randy. I says let's crawl around on some boats and take some measurements.so I told him less look at the G3 bay 22, sportsmen 200 and bass layout sportsman 19. As I'm looking at guiding again I took a tape measure and measured across the front of boat at the seat base for spider rigging. Interesting findings there. The bay was 60". The bass layout was 66". The geezer layout was 70". Now the bay's out. No questions asked. The bass layout was the most legroom I had found yet. Even better than John does ranger. But the sportman 200 was worthy of the crawl over. It had geezer written all over it. Roomy .comfy. Just an all around geezer boat fer sho. The extra width really sold me on front deck. The boat comes with five seats and bases. I'm mean really. I could drive. With slab, bill bob,G behind the windshield . Then put John Doe on the front deck fishing while the others drank smileys. I think I have my riva boat sold. If so the 200 is high on my list. Couple helix units with a 360 and ulterra then ride out.

Thats what I like about my SeaArk......geezer ready....front deck is down in the boat.....83 inches wide where the front seats are. Three seat mounts up front and one in the back. Plenty of leg room at console.

You need to check out the sea arc 24 ft cat fish model powered by a 250 Yamaha. You could fish the whole gewber crew out of it. Find what you want and buy it

That looks like a shallow walleye boat. Have you shopped them yet?

I would love to get the alumacraft competitor 205 tiller . Lots of open floor with no steering wheel but pricey.

We went through the same process a year ago trying to find our geezer boat. It would have been helpful if the boat manufacturer websites would have the front deck dimensions listed. We whittled the list down to the G3 Sportsman 20' and the Alumacraft Competitor 205. Both are awesome boats. There was very little price difference at the dealers between the two. The selling point for us was the storage and foul-weather top and sides available on the Alumacraft. I've posted pics and deck dimensions in the show off your boat thread to help others. It was a hard choice between those two boats. Good luck with your choice!
