Default Hi Vis Orange line for spider rigging?

im gearing up as a new crappie fisherman and will start with 6 poles 14Ft long. i know some like hi vis line and others dont.Im thinking it will help me see the bite a little better so instead of yellow i want to try the orange.my thoughts are that i would use the orange to detect the bite but use a clear mono for the leader just in case they are a little line shy.ive heard some say no need for a clear leader but i dont think it would hurt.thanks for your comments.

1barnabus, I've never used it for spider rigging but have use some orange braid for casting jigs and one my 10' jig poles. I tied direct to my jigs. It was quite visible and I enjoyed using it. The color faded in the first 5 or 6 feet but not so bad as to have to cut and retie. I talking about over a period of months.

Why would it matter in clear water if your rigs are 3 ft. and fluorocarbon ?

I see some guys say they’re using the Mr Crappie line, but I had horrible results with it. Knot strength sucked, and seemed to nick really easy. Just my .02

I've used Sufix neon tangerine line for years.
Thousands of fish caught tying directly to the hook.
    No worries here.
