    I can't even say I remember the sizes of either fish to be honest....sorry....both caught trolling with jigs though.....

    couple nice fish gaboy. i imagine that striper give you a real tussel on a crappie rod. I will be shooting you some photos of some of this years catches soons i get the chance. hopefully today sometime.

    Thanks Rango.....yeah, the fight on a crappie rod is amazing.....especially we have had several on a 14fter before and you know almost immediately it isn't a crappie, but you still at least want to see it.......a lot of the time if it is a biggun' we don't even get to see it.....oh well....at least it saves some tangled line.....

    The wife and I had that happen to us also. We were anchored over a brush pile and noticed a wall of sea gulls heading our way. Once they got close our bobbers started disappearing, quickly! Pulling in a Hybrid or a Striper on 4lb crappie line is a nerve-racking experience, but it's still fun!

    That is so true, you never know when it might just let go.....I enjoy it every once in a while...that is if I don't have many other lines out....ha ha!!
