Was talking with a guy today that said he uses a rig like above for pushing jigs. Just wondering if anyone here ever uses a ď3 jig RigĒ. Seems like it may be more trouble than itís worth but if I know me, Iíll end up trying it.

You guys ever push multiple hooks on one rod?

May be good for scouting new areas.

Sometimes I will push and pull dbl jigs but not 3. IMO that's to much trouble

Back years ago we used to push as many as 8. Just tie each one on with a small loop knot and push with 4 oz weights. KNew some guys who used 8 oz and as many as 12 per pole.

That’s crazy! I can tell ya how that would work out for me. I’d swing 1 fish in the boat and have to pull 3 hooks out of my forehead and neck.

You would be surprised how well it works. Had more trouble with them hanging in shirt sleeves. Only put them about 6 in apart and lots of times you would have 3-4 fish. Not monsters but good 10 in fish. That heavy weight helped keep line tight.

I’m gonna try it with 3. I’ve been fishing a 1 ounce weight and 1 jig and doing pretty good. Gonna try 2 ounces and 3 jigs.
If this rain doesn’t mess tomorrow up.

We have a 2 pole rule here in corn country, but a 3 hook per pole rule too. I had been throwing the idea of a 3 jig rig just not sure the best way to tie them, I like the simplicity of a loop knot but kinda think droppers would catch more fish.

3 works just as well as one or two. The only problem is you have 3 hooks to get hung up instead of one or two. I lost quite a few when one hangs you may lose all 3. I only use the 3 rig in areas I know I will not hang up in. I will rig one or two jigs with a minnow hook for the 3rd hook or I just "tip" my jig with a minnow.
