    Default Seneca lake


    My youngest daughter is looking at buying a house near Seneca lake,I can see myself crappie and gill fishing when me and momma visit.Anybody here fish the lake? Not asking for you to give up secrets,just a thumbs up or thumbs down on the fishing,thanks.

    Seneca is a good lake. Probably one of my favorite Ohio lakes. Panfish can be ok at times. A lot of small fish. I usually go down in late April and early May and do damage on the saugeye. Hanging lanterns at night time produces nice fish.

    Thanks for the response,I'm hoping to try for crappie and gills,perhaps even the saugeye you mention.Wolf run is also within 7 miles of her house, a good friend of mine fishes it for bass,but I'm more a panfish guy.
